Default What kind of gas mileage do you get?

I know that there are many variables affecting this question but approximately what kind of gas mileage should I expect from a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT V6 4.0L engine. All city driving in hilly Pittsburgh, PA. Driving alone 90% of the time. I ask this because I just saw a 2006 Explorer advertised for sale and one of the selling points was 'good gas mileage.' Now either this guy is lying or there is something wrong with my car because I get about 11.9 MPG in the city and about 14 on the highway. I've had the car for over a year and it runs great so I just accepted the gas mileage to be normal. Thanks for any responses!

I have a 99 Mercury Mountaineer, V8 that I have owned since new, and even after 200,000 miles I still get 19.8 (computer) on the highway (AVG SPEED 75). I don't even bother trying to measure in town mileage because it's just impossible to get a good average depending on traffic, weather etc., but if I had to guess, I would say 14 in town.
