2016 F150 problems from day 1
We bought a brand new F150 straigh of the showroom floor. It had a lift kit, chrome rims and larger tires. When we got it home and hooked up the boat, cut the wheel and the tires rubbed the front fender. Returned to the dealer, they said they could fix the rub with spacers, WRONG! Had to go to a smaller tire, unhappy. Then 2 weeks into the new truck it started blowing white smoke out of the exhaust, a flowmaster that was installed at the dealer. Back to the dealer it went, no direct answer except to moniter the oil and collant levels. White smoke continued... until the truck started to spit and sputter and the check engine light came on. Now the dealer has had it at the dealership for almost two weeks with no answer other than the #5 cylinder misfire. They are telling us the parts are on backorder, but cant tell us what is wrong. We havent even made the first payment on the truck that we have had for only 2.5 weeks and it been in the shop for 2. My question to anyone who wants to chime in is: If they have to replace the cylinder, what does that do the value when we want to trade it in? OR should we just give the truck back and tell them to deal with it?

any repair will not change the value of the truck. They trade in value will not be what you paid for it even after 2.5 weeks. Tell the dealer what you want to do and maybe they can accommodate you.
Like you said, its been 2.5 weeks, let them have chance to repair it first.
Its probably to early for lemon laws to apply but search them for your area.
