Default 91 f-150 5 speed ,driveabilty (jerks & rough idle)

The problem is when truck idles @ (or about) 700 Rpm has a miss on cyl.2 ( taking plug wire or injector plug off no change ) , bring up rpms to 1000 it smooth out , & while driving at (or about) 45 mph in 4th it will jerk ( like 1 time ) then go back to smooth . New wires ,plugs , cap ,rotors button ,fuel filter. Any help will be appreciated & thanks for ur time

you may want to get a pressure test done.. it could be a ring or a valve leaking.. At low RPM's it will run rough.. if you pull the plug wire off at a higher rpm do you see a change? if so have the test done or pick up a tester for $50 and do it your self.

+1 on the compression test for that cylinder.

Default rough idle

Did the compression test ,went as follows : #1 - 145,#2 100,#3-150,#4-150 , #5-150 and #6 didn't do due to plug ( felt like it was cross threaded so left it alone) . Not sure what else to do, any ideas? thanks for your time

Oh I did set timing ,it was off a little ( it was spark knocking when hard accelerating ) now it runs great except for the intermittent skip ( @ low rpm ect. )

The intermittent skip is probably due to the result from cylinder #2. Could be due to a number of things. It would be interesting to know what the compression on #6 was, too.

Do you have a 302 or 5.8 engine?
