Unhappy Also have 78 Ford inquiry...

Hey there! I have a rescue pup of sorts. I bought this truck from a boy to find out it has been abused and neglected from the needs it has. I've fixed various jerry-rigged things on it but now I'm in a tangle. When it comes to a fuel system, I'm overly cautious. I'm very new and learn as I go. Gas wont pump in but a few cents at a time, very very aggravating. The little rubber tubey hose thing that goes from the metal part of the gas tank entrance to the actual tank is a bit old and I was wondering if replacing this part would fix my problem? It's very very tiring, I have to get gas a lot as you could imagine and IDK how much longer this old hose will hold out. How would i go about doing this? Do I have to remove the bed? Thanks!

Are you saying you can't pump gas in fast, or that it leaks, etc.?

If it won't pump in fast, you may have a kink in the filler tube or a kink or clog in the venting tube. The venting tube is the smaller diameter one right next to the filler tube.
