Default a/c compressor oil

I'm replacing my a/c compressor, acclumulator, and orifice tube I think the oil may have leaked from the old compressor and it seized up. So if there is no oil or very little in the old compressor when I drain it how much should I add to the new compressor? its a 97 4.6.

there should be a tag on the new compressor in regards to oil balancing for the compressor.

balancing the accumulator; drain old accumulator....add new oil...the quantity drained plus 2 ounces
