Default F150 radio display

My radio works fine but the light display will not light up. Nor will the shifter. Any help?

Thanks,
Michael

Not sure what your vehicle has, but there are some that use a lamp to provide a source of light that is transferred via a flexible fiber optic cable to a remote location(s).

Thanks for the reply. How would I be able to find out if mine has the FO cable? Is it a easy fix?

Floor shift uses a LED panel..

Ford always uses a LB/RD wire color/tracer for panel illuminations. If it were a fuse or power distribution problem, there would be a 'bunch' of control illumination issues since they share a illumination circuit splice, cluster , message center etc. Did both issues happen at the same time? or, one then the other over time?

You could pop the shifter bezel up and use a test light and check for 12v on the LB/RD wire coming in to the shifter connector. If you have power there, the LED is failed. As well as the audio unit, same wire color config. With the radio ON, is there any display?

Put this on the back burner for awhile. No, no display while the radio is on. No time display when the radio is off or on.
