Default Headers and Dual Exhaust

I am looking to install a set of Headers and Duals to the Ole Gal..Probally going to dump the Cat as well or find 2 for Duals if I can..and run something that will give a little Back Press...as Mufflers...This is a 1992 F-150 5.0L XLT Lariat. Will there be any codes if I delete the Cat currently installed..as I think it is Plugged..from some issues I have had last 3 weeks..(Start....die...will not re-start for a bit.. and restart..OK as well as Mash the Gas..Hear noise..but no equal increase in speed..) Everything at this time OK..Idle finally down to Normal now..fresh tune up..no more Rich smell..

Any Suggestions?? Thanks!!

You will not get codes if your delete the cat as long as you buy/fabricate an exhaust that has a spot to mount the O2 sensor.

A good way to check if your cat is plugged is to disconnect it. Just open the exhaust right before the cat to see if the truck runs differently.

You can get cats individually. They are typically sold as high flow cats. I would recommend looking a summit.com to see what they have.
