Default Rookei Move - No Gas

Well w/o details I was on a trip and thought I could make the next exit on the interstate. Didn't make it. Called AAA and they brought me 5 gallons. I have a 2006, F-150 Lariat and if it matters w/ a 5.4 lit. I need to reset the check engine light and can't find my manual. Any help out their?

You can disconnect the battery for a few minutes. That resets it, but you may have to reprogram your radio stations, etc,

Thanks for all the help - the disconnected battery reset the "check engine" light. Off hand because I was curious - I called the largest Ford dealership in the area and they said the battery disconnect would not reset the light and a diagnotic was needed. Even thought the truck went through it's 100k check up with flying colors. It was to cost me a minimum of $150 for that service. Big savings and a big lesson rapped into one.
