What's up everyone we start this week with the next episode of our build thread "Project F150 EcoBoost"!
Today we are going to show you how to choose and install a performance tuner on your Ford truck.

Among dozens of fancy performance chips and tuners we chose Livernois Motorsports My Calibrator Tuner which offers a wide range of setups and provides a very impressive performance improvement.

In order to reach such impressive performance gains guys at Livernois make a custom tune for your own truck.
We provided them with general information about our truck and mentioned that it's already equipped with AEM performance air intake and Borla ATAK exhaust.
They've sent us a custom tune based on our specs which we downloaded in our programmer and plugged in to the computer of our truck using OBD-II port.
It only takes a few minutes to reprogram your truck, chose the operation mode and you're ready to go!

Our product expert Greg will guide you through the installation process of the Livernois Tuner and demonstrate the performance improvement in a road test!

Hi everyone, CARiD is here with another episode of our F150 project build! In this video we're going to show you how to install a 6" suspension lift kit by Pro Comp and large off-road tires on a late model Ford F150!
Lift kit is probably one of the most favorite mods of all truck fans and our team was very excited about this installation to say the least. While it's not a simple bolt-on like the ones you've seen in the previous episodes of our video blog, the installation of a lift kit also requires another pair of hands, so our product professor Richard stopped by to assist our host Greg with this installation.

How's it going everyone, a quick update on topic. While the Lift Kit installation video shows the whole process in the smallest details, we decided to compose a written summary of our experiences that would give you a couple of more useful tips and show what else should be taken care of to perform the installation properly.

 

Since we're done with the installation of performance bolt-ons on our F150 project truck we decided that it's time to take care about the stopping power and install a set of Drilled and Slotted brake rotors by StopTech. It's a perfect upgrade in case you would like to bring the performance of your truck to the new level or simply perform a scheduled brake replacement. Plus, if you decide to tow with your rig, more stopping power will never hurt!

Effective heat dissipation is the main benefit of drilled and slotted rotors. Drilled holes and vanes allow water and gases to disappear and help to cool down the brakes more efficiently, which is exactly what we need for our Project F150!

Hi everyone, today we would like to talk about the safety of the lift kits, because this important element is often being overlooked.
As you know lift kits change geometry of the suspension which is reflected in how your truck handles and behaves on the road. It also means that not all lift kits are equal in terms of safety and handling characteristics, because the center of masses is raised. Not all of the lift kit manufacturers would tell you if their lift solution will maintain normal suspension operation, but for our project truck we decided to pick one that would be reliable and absolutely safe to use. Pro Comp Stage1 6" lift kit happens to be one of such kits and unlike many other brands Pro Comp actually tests their kits and makes sure they correspond with current safety standard FMVSS 126.

Their kit for 2015&UP F150 received certification that it meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 126 (FMVSS 126). FMVSS 126 requires the successful operation of electronic stability control (ESC) on all new vehicles under 10,000 pounds GVW. In order to demonstrate that Pro Comp’s suspension system did not negatively affect these systems on the new Ford pickup, Pro Comp had tests performed on an F-150 outfitted with their 6” Stage I suspension, 35-inch Pro Comp Xtreme MT/2 tires mounted on 20-inch Phantom Pro Comp Alloy wheels

How's it going everyone! Today we're here with another video in which we'll take a closer look at the wheels and tires on our truck. Even though the design of rims is quite a controversial topic, and it may never be everyone's cup of tea, we can confidently say that our F150 looks just right with this rims & tires combo and a 6 inch lift.

The rims are quite special because it's the very first off-road wheel designed by Asanti. This brand is famous for their high end wheels for premium sedans, sport cars and exotics. The AB811 wheel turned out to be really good looking and it comes in 3 sizes: 20x9", 20x12" and 22x12". For our truck we selected the top of the line 22x12" size and wrapped it with good old 35" Toyo Open Country tires. The coolest feature of these rims is the removable inserts in the wheel spokes. You can easily custom paint them or even wrap to personalize the design of the wheels if you want to.
