Default '03 F350 overhead display not working

My "message center" (the thing overhead that shows ave. mpg, temp, etc) quit working on me. I looked at the owner's manual to try and find a fuse that was causing the problem, but it doesn't list one for that. I checked the two that said instrument cluster and they were both good. The otherday my wife and I were driving and she noticed that the buttons were flickering. Has anybody got any ideas of what I need to do to get this working again? I would love to get the info that I have gotten used to. Thanks, in advance.
