Would like to find either a new or used tailgate.
The one that is on the truck has been warped and has about a 2 inch gap in the middle where the tailgate meets the bed.


I have been looking at new tailgates but it's hard to tell which fit my truck or if they all fit my truck. If I buy new I want all new hardware. They list my truck but then have Styleside and Custom but I have no idea what that means I can't find anything that tells me the difference. My tailgate has an insert that is aluminum and was originally double sided taped on and someone has added screws all across the outside of the tailgate.


I would like to get this replaced before I have the Line-X done.





Already have new carpet coming in.

 

Oh and has anyone done the cold air intake on this engine before?

 

Did you ever get a tailgate? LMC truck. Replaced mine for my 95 you have to switch over all the other trim from your old gate. Mine is a XLT also. Nice gate though and great service.

 

Yes I did.
Bought it from a company on ebay. They painted the tailgate too match the truck. The trim was all destroyed on my tailgate so it was garbage. So I am not putting the trim on.
It fits perfect and looks great.

 

I also have all new interior. Door panels and carpet. Plus adding a lot of sound deadening.
