1990 F250 Question
Hey everyone. I'm looking at buying an 1990 F250 with a 351 in it. They have taken the fuel injection out and replaced it with a Holly 4bbl carb.
I was wondering if this would cause any issues? Is this common? Should I avoid this truck because of this? I'm guessing it has about 150,000 miles on it. The car lot dealer wasn't sure.
Thanks,

Well i think you have to check everything, before you buying. As you said dealer wasn't sure, Its not depend on dealer. If you like this truck then take it if there is something wrong in it then don't buy it. Its all depend on you what you'll going to do. But my suggestion is that you have to check properly.
Thanks

I guess if it runs OK and you are comfortable with it , why not?
The MPG with fuel inj was not that great and I do not know if it would be much better with a carb set-up. There are lots of guys that would like to have the carb set-up instead of the fuel inj system because they are more familiar with the earlier builds.
150,000 is up there, but if it wasn't beat up it might have some good service left in it yet.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. As I was deciding on this one, came across a 91 F250 with an auto transmission. The only down fall I could find was the power door locks don't work. Just got to figure that out and I'll have a good truck.
