1999 f350 power door lock switch removal
Can someone tell me the easiest way to remove the power door lock switch/relay from the driver's side front and rear doors of a 1999 F350.
I know there's a clip but I can't release it from the latch. Do you use a screwdriver? Does it release up, downor sideways? It,s hard to get to and difficult see what you doing.

Can you clarify a bit..
Lock/switch relay? There's no relay in the door/s.. Not sure what clip your referring too... I've had lots of these doors apart and I'm confused on what your asking..

Part #3L3Z-25218A43-AA , left side actuator.Allows keyless remote to unlock and lock door. Attached to latch behind door cavity.I can't get it to unclip from latch.I got wire connector to unclip but that's it.Both front and rear left door's won't unlock with remote or unlock/lock button on door panel.

OK...
Thought thats what you were referring too.. Do either of the actuators raise the lock rod at all, meaning can you see/hear them try?.. If the motors/actuators are bad the latch/s need to be removed 'or' pulled out towards the door panel for install.. Not too bad of a job, and easier to do with the latch visable with both hands available.. The actautor has a plastic release 'tang/tab' and then slides off the latch..If you remove the outside door handle, and thewindow runner in front of the latch, all the clips/rods are exposed and the latch is a snap from there.
Here's a few pics of the latch/actuator for clarity..
[ol][*]Pry up on tab.[*]Slide the door latch lock actuator off the latch channels using a prying action.[*]Remove the door latch lock actuator.[/ol]

The lock rod/push button rodis attached to the latch with a retaing clip.. The actuator motor has a arm/pin off the back that engages the latch for lock/unlock.. Other than the harness connector, and the actuator holding tab, there's nothing that attaches to the actuator... Also, you don't need to remove the inside door handle operating cable...
