2000 f-350 shift lever
#2
Welcome to the site..
On the 'bottom side' of the column up close to the ignition/key lock set you'll see a small round access hole.. Insert a punch, nail ect and with the ignition then set to the 'Run' positon insert the punch and gently 'push in' on the punch to compress the ignition locking pin as you gently pull out on the complete lockset.. NOTE.. If your going to leave it apart for any lenght of time, you may want to disconnect the battery/s
Next,, remove the screws on the underside of the column covers.. Their kind of hidden in the lower cover, but you'll be inserting a phillips screw driver through the access hole/s to remove them.. The column covers will then come apart..
Unplug the OD/TCS connector ..
Remove the shifter dust cover by releasing the tab on the front most leg of the boot and lift it off the rear locating pin/peg.. Usually just pulling up firmly/evenly on the boot will get it loose..
Next, use a larger similar punch and drive out the shifter locating pin for the removal..
Moving the selector lever to various positions can help in removing/installing the covers, as well as lever/pin alignment ect..
