2000 Ford F350 Steering Gear Box
We replaced the steering gear box and we cannot get the truck to turn left. Even with the pitman arm off, we can not turn the steering wheel left. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong? The new box looks exactly like the old one.

Was the replacement a reman?
When you pulled the original, did you lock the steering wheel position to 'fix' the clocksprings position so not to rotational bind the CS.. Or does it feel like it's poor hydraulic application..

Yes, the replacementis a reman. Its not the steering column binding. Even if you disconnect the drag link, you can't even manually go to the left, you can go to the right though. We did lock the steering wheel prior to removing the old gear box. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Did you center the steering gear before installation? If not, you might lose travel in one direction. To center the steering gear, turn the input shaft from stop to stop. Count the turns and divide by two to get the number of turns from stop to center.
