Default 2015 F250 Ford Sync

Hello,
I am currently shopping for my first F250. It's also going to be my first diesel vehicle. I'd appreciate any tips on what to look for when buying. Friends and mechanics have all been complimentary is the 6.7 Super Duty.

Here's my question: my plan is for this truck to last a minimum of 10 years. I average about 25,000 miles per year so I think the truck itself is up to the task. (Some mid weight hauling of livestock and lumber, mainly daily driving.)
I'm trying to decide between the XLT package versus the Lariat Package. My concern with the Lariat is the touch screen/navigation/Bluetooth system can't hd up for 10
Years. Is this a valid concern? How long should this system be expected to last before it becomes obsolete? Should I just get the XLT without the screen and not have the worries? Is it really worth it to have this technology?

Well I'd prioritize the things the truck is going to do. Being an entertainment system is probably not nearly as important as the vehicle's capacity to haul , provide fuel mileage, and traction.

A good part of the time when hauling addl equip the vehicle gets Overloaded and it does the job anyway, but there is a price to be paid for doing this and the price may not be apparent until later on. Depending on where you plan to use the truck and how much weight it will be carrying/pulling is a 250 better than a 350? A 250 is regarded as a 3/4 ton and a 350 regarded as a 1 ton cap vehicle. Usually over time depending on what you do with it, over spec costs less than an under spec vehicle. Once you purchase it and find the vehicle can't do what the salesperson said , you have to live with it. I think Eric gave you some good info.
