Default 7.3L won't stay running when cold???

I have a 97 F350 with a 7.3L diesel. If the engine is not up to normal operating temp I have problems with it just quitting. When it quits it doesn't spit and sputter it just dies. It will restart after it dies but when you press on the gas pedal or sometimes just randomly it will die again. I have tried the old fashion tap on everything under the hood but that doesn't help. I have changed the fuel filter and bleed the system but that didn't fix it. It seems that if I just let it sit and idle untill it gets warm it will work fine. Once the engine gets to operating temp you can drive forever with no issues.

This is my first diesel so I don't have much experiance with them, anyone with any ideas will be helpfull.

Thanks
chaumer
