79 camper special 351M dip stick question
Hey guys,
Been a browser for while and read a gang of threads to help make a decision on which Ford to get. Found a CLEAN f250 camper special and pounced.
As I am going through it checking fluids and starting to remove all the 30-40 yours of quick fixes and back jobs (wiring, fuel system, ect.) I see the dip stick was bent to heck and broke at the tip. I ordered a OEM stick and tube but won't see it till next weds. Does any one have the total length of the dip stick so I can at least make sure I have oil at a decent level till the OEM one comes in? Thanks guys.

Welcome to the site..
Don't have a length, but easy enough to drain only the oil pan contents which should be about 4+ measured quarts. re add and/or correct if needed the volume of oil again and check and mark where it registers on the stick.

Thanks Haya,
I just did that.
Took just just shy of 6 quarts. (5.75qrtrs.)
And it is completely to the top of the full mark.
I don't think it is the correct dipstick.
Everywhere I read said 5-7 quarts.
Not sure where the 7 would come from unless they made or make a over size pan.
