Question 96' Super Duty 7.3 clutch problems

Hi, I'm new to the forum & need some help. I have replaced my clutch master clyndr & bled the air. I still have to pump clutch pedal atleast 3 times before it won't grind when I try & put it in gear. If I blead it over & over I get the same results. I've heard that there is some type of change over in the flywheels, clutch, psi plate. Clutch does not slip ever. & I do get 1 bubble of air each time I blead, but only one. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have the same problem. Someone mentioned that I should replace the slave cylinder for there appears to be no adjustment. Have you found a remedy yet? Thanks

Generally it is good practice to "bench bleed" the master cylinder before installing it on the vehicle, however , if the job is done there should be a provision to bleed the slave cylinder. Air is supposed to rise to the top and theoretically you would think you could get all the air out of the system by just bleeding the master cylinder, but it ain't so !
You still need to bleed the slave cyl. See if that doesn't solve your problem.

Default thanks Hanky

Is there an adjustment on the slave cylinder? Ny petal has nothing but air 2/5ths of the way down.

I will do as you have prescribed.
