Default Changing y pipe on V10

I was looking on ebay and found this Y pipe and it claims to add 33 hp and 1-2 mpg. I looked at mine and it is actually 1.5 inches at the stock Y pipe. Has anyone tried one? would it be worth it I just bought the truck last week and only drive 50 miles a week. They say Ford made the exhaust smaller at points to lower the exhaust tone. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...31778&rd=1

I am going to get one of these kits for my 2002 v10. The noise the factory y-pipe makes on acceleration is annoying as hell. That kit is supposed to help that also I guess. Makes the floor vibrate sometimes. That will be later on sometime though. Im having other issues with this truck that need to be taken care of first.

Click the ebay link above and it will take you there. the same one is for the 5.4 and the v10. view sellers other items for others available. I have 80 miles on mine now and it makes the engine quieter and seems to idle smoother. gas mileage increase is unknown since I only have driven it 80 mile. I havent felt a improvement on HP because I am trying to see what the MPG will be but passing cars seems to be smoother and less gas pedal imput. overall I am very happy expecially with it being quieter just wish I could find that rattle at 1500 - 2000 rmp range.

I have asked about the rattling from the v10 because I have theproblem and the only way to get rid of the sound is to get headers. That is what ford dealer had told me.

It's most likely the really thin plate covering part of your transmission. It can be found just behind the oil pan. all you have to do is bend it a little bit so it no longer rattles
