Default Crankcase and HPOP Reservoir

I recently asked a question about an oil additive advertised to help clean up the spool valves and reduce sticking fo the valves.
I asked if the additive goes in the HPOP reservoir or the crankcase.

Answer was "The Stiction Eliminator is added to the crankcase. The crankcase oil circulates through HPOP reservoir also."

I thought the crankcase and the HPOP were separate.

Which is correct?

Thank you.
