Default F-250 problem!

I have a 87 F-250 with a 460, 4 barrell carb., 4 speed trans. My problem is: the truck starts up fine while "cold", however, when the truck warms up and the engine is "hot" and I shut the truck off it will not start again. the starter drags and the battery sounds like it is very weak and in a few seconds the battery goes completely dead. I then wait until the engine cools off, and then it fires right up easily. I've been asking around wher I live and no one seems to have an definintive answer for me. I've changed the coil, regulator and the part that the battery cables come off from (the name slips me at the moment). Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like you might want to replace the starter itself!
