Default F-250 rear gear life

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows the gear life of the ring and pinion

currently about 1/4 million miles and have some lash/gap in initial start before full load.

Not sure if its the axle/yoke splines?

any thoughts

John

Welcome the site..

What year?
Some lash is normal, excessive, depends.. Any noises? Constant, rolling in/out of the throttle? Any pitch changes etc.?

Diesel?

Doubt any lash, even severe would be felt as a delay..
