f-350 doesnt start
My 1996 f350 7.3 turbo will not start. After blowing the hi-pressure oil hoses I have been having problems starting my truck. I have changed the glow plugs and wire harness. The water pump also went bad and was also replaced. Does anybody have any ideas on what else I could check to fix/replace? I love my truck but it is starting to really P**s me off. Please give me some ideas.

How does the fuel filter look?
I'd remove the fuel filter cover, pull the filter. If it is dark or there is crud inthe filter hlusing time to drain the housing and put in a new filter.
I think you truck has an electric fuel pump near the fuel tank. Is it running with the key in the ON position?

I changed the fuel filter first. then the glow plugs and turbo hoses. once I get the truck started it will start fine. But if it sits longer than 3-4 hours I have problems getting it started again. and if it sits longer it takes about an hour to get it started. and I know that's not good on the batteries or starter.

Did you confirm that power is getting to the glow plugs? Instead of typing a long explanation of how to do it , go to u tube and punch in Ford glow plug relay tests.
It will explain the tests with pictures and ya can't beat that !
