Default starting issues

I recently purchased a diesel 2006 f-250, 4 x 4, tow package, off road package and having intermittant starting problems. I have replaced both the upper and lower fuel filters. Problem occurs after vehicle has been driven (brought up to operating temperature) and then shut down. The engine will turn over but never start for up to 30 minutes. Previously I had owned a 94 Ford Ranger which experienced similar problems and sold it as I spent up to 1K on mechanics fees trying to identify the problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

T

With upper and lower fuel filters , safe to assume it is a diesel? If so which engine ?

There are a couple of reasons for this. Not knowing your level of expertise I would suggest to have either an experienced Ford Tech get into it or an International truck dealership since they made that engine for Ford. A fitting separation problem and/or "O" ring problems are most likely the cause(s).
