Default Help w/play in tires

I went to change my brake pads the other day, and when I got the tire back on, I noticed that it had a lot of play if i pushed it vertically. Theres some kind of bushing on the bottom of the axle that has all the play in it but I don't know what it's called or how to go about fixing it. Looks like a bolt on top, but the bottom is some kind of large flat plate. Any help?

Are you sure your wheel bearings are good?..There should be no way you could possibly move the suspension without jacking under it...

correct, that would be the lower ball joint.if its moving that easy, get it replaced ASAP.matter of fact, replace all four.two uppers and two lowers.dont wait on this.will only add to the expense, because other parts are now taking the jolting of the roads.
