Hpop oil change

Hpop oil change
Different people tell me different things in reference to the hpop oil in a 2002 7.5 PSD. Is there a need to change the oil in the hpop or does it change when you change the engine in the motor.
Which way is correct.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The 7.3 HPOP reservour is fed injection pressure oil from the primary engine oil pump.
There wouldn't be any benifit to remove oil from the reservour. The heads have oil galleys for the injector oil, as well as the pressure lines ect.. If you were to drain the HPOP, and any of the oil from the gallery/s the engine would stumble, stall on a restart from trapped air causing poor injector function. Better to no starve the injectors/ pump from lack of oil.. A better practice would be to just change the oil more often. Can't hurt it by changing the oil too much

hpop
I pulled my hpop and replace the seals an such.while my lines were free from the pump I had them pinned up so they wouldnt leak out for a 24 hr period. so I'm sure they drained into the heads. I reconnected them ,put everything back together filled the resevor an now it wont start, I also pulled the icp an change the o rings on it while the pump was out. would that be the problem or air in the line, an if so what can I do about it???
