Ignition switch wont keep gauges and radio on...
well here is another issue i am having with my 1985, tilt steering, f-250 diesel truck:
After i start truck i have to jiggle the spring load on return of switch to run position to get gauges and radio to operate. It has gotten so bad now that i have to jam a piece of cardboard to keep it in place.
I was told by someone that there is a screw which connects a wire? or tab that keeps electrical connection active, is this so? Then i take it if that were true i would have to dismantle steering wheel and turn signal cluster to get to that area correct?
Please let me know what i need to do to repair this, i cant have the truck down for more than a day.
thanks guys!
