power window not working-2003 f350
Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 2003 ford f350 diesel. The driver side window started acting up and last night it went all the way down and didnt come up again. I removed the motor this morning and jumped the battery with some test leads directly to the motor and ...nothing. reversed the polarity and nothing again. this was directly to the terminals on the motor while still hooked to the gear drive/regulator. (removed from the driver side door) I did a resistance check and the ohms on the motor was approx 15. would everyone agree that the motor is dead?

you did not have to remove the motor ! once the inside panel is off, unhook the plug-in going to the motor and you should have 2 prongs on the motor, 1 prong is for up and the other is for down ! run a long piece of covered wire from the battery and touch the prongs to see if the motor goes up and down ! the window might be binding in the track !

Thanks for the input. The switch tested ok. The motor was bad.l I replaced today.every thing is good. The funny thing I found is the voltage at the motor from the switch read 10.2volts. this is a 12 volt system. With the truck running 10.2 , with the engine stopped and the acc. key on- approx 9.6 volts. Is this normal?
