Default Rearend Squats

Sorry if this has been posted before. My search didn't help.

I'm trying to haul a pretty heavy trailer with my 85 F250. When I put the trailer on the ball the truck squats about 6-7 inches. What're some good options?

Welcome to the site..

How heavy is the trailer?

There all kinds of suspension help like air bags, add on over load springs, and a load equlalizing hitch will greatly reduce the drop and make for a much smoother/safer ride..

The trailer's a toy box enclosed 20 ft and I figure about 5500 lbs loaded. I haven't been able to weigh the tongue yet but I'd guess around 1000 lbs.
