Default no heat

ok folks ....i have a 2001 ford focus with no to little heat. if you turn heat off for about 5 minutes and then turn back on you have warm air for about 2 minutes then it blows cold air again. the temp is running in the normal range and the fans are running ....the AC has never worked on this car since we bought it..i dont smell antifreeze in the car...any thoughts where to start first

The symptoms seem to point to a possible restricted heater core. Although a water pump problem may also be in the pix.
Will you be doing the work or will you have someone else do it?

after she came home and i was able to look at the car ....i found it was down almost a gallon of antifreeze....that fixed the problem, thanks for you feed back hanky

Congrats , glad to see you got it working . But I suggest you try to determing why it was low on coolant ? You may head off worse problems , further down the road .
