exhaust back pressure sensor, and turbo(for info)
04 f250 6.0, xlt crew cab 254k miles,
EBP sensor was triggering several codes (EGR, Turbo boost etc.) ( EBP mounted on thermostat housing)
I cleaned the tube running from exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold port, and though both were clean, the sensor was packed with crap. Cleaned sensor, but it didn't correct problem, however forgot to check the elbow at the thermostat housing , it was also plugged solid. All is well now, codes all cleared.
On another note, if anyone has a problem lining up the up pipe to turbo on re-installation, (T clamps will not easily pull up pipe in line with turbo and as a result you may hear / smell exhaust gases leaking out) ,it really does help if you can loosen the two bolts connecting the up pipe at the exhaust manifold flange.
If you can't the other option is to leave the bolts on the pedestal threaded but real loose (should be able to tighten with turbo mounted), this will give you some play, but loosening the up pipe bolts is your best bet, also aids in lining up the EGR cooler where you've already mounted the intake manifold.
