Newbie! Help? Patching holes in flooring
Greetings Ford Forum members. I found the van of my dreams and I love her! She is a 1998 E350 cargo van with the 7.3l diesel engine with only 89k miles. She is a one owner who took really good care of her. It appears she has been in storage since 2009 from the dates on her tires. So far I have removed dividers, cabinets and yucky rubber mats. The plywood flooring is out and we are at the bare floor. We cleaned her up with Simple Green and are ready to insulate and begin the flooring process. I have a question about the holes in the metal from the cabinets. To patch the holes, someone suggested to use adhesive caulk and fiberglass cloth. Then use a flexible rubber liner coating. After that we can begin to insulate with acoustic sound barrier. Re install the plywood. Then an underlayment on top of the plywood, then float cork flooring. Any comments, ideas, suggestions, photographs, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
