Came with keyfob?

Are you trying to program a keyless KEYFOB or a KEYFOB with the key built into it?
Freestars came with keys with a chip in the head and separate KEYFOBs. If your trying to use an "All-in-One" unit, the van may not be able to communicate to it due to a language barrier (Old School vs. Newer School).

Yea I bought all in one. Suppose, yes supposed, to work with freestar.
1. Programming didn't work. Not sure if it's the car or the new key.
2. Had it cut (free) couldn't even open the door. They tried to recut/fix but ruined it stead. It wasn't guaranty to start the car since I didn't but from them.
3. Had them try to see if it could be program. The machine sees it as wrong transponder. Not compatible.
4. Since I cut the key they could only refund 1/2.
5. Got a free chip less key made for Exchange of bad cut.
