2004 Ford Freestar. When I drive any distance, the door ajar chime and light come on. If I open and close any door, they will go off, but come on again shortly. Any ideas?

I bet the Freestar has the same mirco switches attached to the door locks as the Windstar. In the Windstar they mostly cause flickering interior lights. Spray WD40 at the arrow, open and close the door 20x to work the WD 40 in. Works in 90% of the cases.

Here we go! 2005 mercury monterey, the same as 2004 to 2007 freestar. Was driving fine, out of the blue, say lift gate ajar, so I decided to see if I can see what the issue was from my OBD reader, OBD has no power! Dome light are on bc rear door is open, but the side doors won't open either, when I click overhead buttons I hear the doors unlocking but not moving, when I press the rear hatch, I get nothing, car will lock and unlock with remote. Sprayed some wd-40 into the lock and handle, nothing, and still no power to OBD, btw also disconnected the battery to see if it'll clear it up, and nothing, I'll disconnect over night to see if anything changes, any help would be appreciated, also tried steps below, that didn't work due to lift gate being ajar
