Anyone else have a heated seat issue and what did you find. Thanks.

I said the same thing when my F150 dropped a tie rod end at 30k miles. Good thing I was not on the highway. My F250 had the whole frontend done at 40k and now needs more parts at 75k.....My 04 Freestar seats are not working either. Lights come on but no heat from either side.

First find the Connector to the heater coil. I am guessing under the seat. Disconnect it.

On the supply side with the seat heater turned on check for 12 volts DC (Simple enough)

Now, on the Coil side switch the Multimeter to Resistance Mode (Ohms) and look for a coil resistance somewhere in between 3 to 30 Ohms.

Just thought I would throw some input into this.

Good luck.
How do you identify the heater coil connector?

I have the same issue on my 04 Freestar with driver seat heater not working, passenger OK, and off,1,2 lights working properly on heater switches. I found 2 connectors for what I think are the heated seats. One going to the seatback is 2 conductor and the other going to the seat bottom is 4 conductor. I feel this 4 conductor may also use 2 wires for a switch in the seat to sense the presence of a person, so the seat does not heat if no one is sitting on it. I know the passenger seat works that way, but not sure about the driver side. I'm trying to find some wiring diagrams for this. If someone has one to share, that would be greatly appreciated. The fuse for the seat heater, also powers the seat motors, and those work, so power is getting that far.

Kick start this thread. Is the heated seat too $$$ to fix if the elements are bad? Transmission went out before the original battery...$2200.

Default 2005 Expedition EB Driver Side Heat/Lights not working

Worked fine yesterday. Today I get in and heat/ac light don't come on nor does it heat. Passenger seat lights for heat/ac both came on and I would assume it working fine. I seen where the heat doesn't work but light comes on as if it is in forums. Mine does not have lights for either on driver side. Froze all the way to work. Please help!

With the cold weather on the horizon, time to reboot this thread, passenger side button works fine, red 1, red 2 while the driver side, red 2 lights up for about a second then goes off. This morning the button worked fine but not this afternoon, same thing lights up then goes out. Ideas?

djripper, did you get an answer for your issue? I have the same issue, except, the passenger seat heat is OK, but the drivers seat heat is INOP and the indicator does not stay on.
Many thanks!!
