Default Message Center Problem

I just had the oil changed in my 06 Freestar and I can't find out how to reset the message, "Change Oil Now". I really hate a vehicle telling me what to do and now I can't shut it up. Help!

Thanks in advance,

Your reset procedure should be laid out clearly in your owners maual. Look under oil change, oil life index, message center, should give you 2-4 step procedure for reseting the index.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have tried all of those subjects and more in the Owner's Manual several times. Is there a website that I could try?

Default RE: Message Center Problem PLEASE HELP

Hi,
I guess this isn't really a reply, but a related problem. I have a 2005 Escape that I have had for less than 3 weeks. Still under warranty.

The message center does random self checks (sometimes repeatedly) which is very annoying. My dealer and service reps are great but they replaced the instrument cluster and guess what? Still does it. Does anyone have any ideas?

I feel like I'm on candid camera when I'm driving along and it starts cycling through.
