Default Fuel mileage

Hey guys, my wife owns a 2011 fusion SE with the 2.5, and I own a 2012 SE 2.5, and she can fill her car up and get 415 miles until E, I can fill up at the same place and only get 315, any idea why I would get less when the cars are identical in every way except color???

Have you considered swapping cars for a while and see what she gets using your vehicle?

Both have a 17.5 gallon tank if FWD. That being said, computer says that you get 18MPG and your wife gets 23MPG. What type of driving do you each do and how you each drive will affect the MPG. My 2015 MKZ being AWD with a 16.5 gallon tank normally says 350-360 miles to empty (21MPG) when all city driving and that's with the 3.5 DOHC engine. It normally runs 26+ for highway driving (when I drive A.K.A. cruise control...), 23-24 for the other half.
