Hi All,

Recently my "Check Charging System" message started coming on on my '06. The first time I sat in some VERY long back up of traffic with the A/C on (over an hour). As soon as I was moving freely again, it went away. This was Friday on Memorial Day wkend. Then yesterday (Fri) I was sitting in an unusually long back up at a drive thru. Again it went off after I was able to get out of the back up. There aren't any other lights or messages coming on except the CCS message. Any suggestions? Thanks!

 

Alternator may be getting worn out?

Belt may be worn out and slipping on alternator pulley not giving you the charge you need at idle?
