You should go for a stroker for sure.

You really need to talk with people that build these engines to make horse power. I have seen these engines in Columbus Ohio , Then can be salty .

Try doing your regular tune up but dont be cheap and get just the value craft brand stuff, spend the money.I personally run royal purple fluids with my truck, its expensive but worth it. The cams wil hel but it wont really give you what your looking for without spending ALOT of money and time. Stick with what you have and try runing a msd ignition system and maybe change up the gearing in the rear end.

Hi mate,
I hope that you're fine.
You can do these five things to boost engine power and make your vehicle run faster than ever:
  1. Use a cold air intake (CAI)
  2. Reduce the weight.
  3. Install a performance chipset.
  4. Attach a cat-back exhaust system.
  5. Invest in a forced induction system.

Something to keep in mind.
The manufacturer generally after much testing will come up with what will provide adequate performance and last a lot of miles.
They don't usually derate engines since the competition will take advantage of that. When you start demanding extras from a stock offering you have to expect there will be a trade off. If you want longevity , stick with what you have. If you want all it can possibly squeeze out, go the full route like the racers do , it only has to last to win the race.
