Default 93' Hydraulic clutch problem

The hydraulic line at slave cylinder will not stay connected. I make the connection, give it a tug and it seems fine, when I press clutch pedal the line pops loose.
The connector looks slightly worn but before I spend the cash on a new line I thought I would ask if anyone knows if this is more of a problem with the slave cylinder malfunctioning.
Could the slave be sticking and causing the line to pop loose?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hydraulic lines can withstand quite a bit of pressure. Suggest you get a new line with a good connector.
