99 4.0 harmonic issue

Default 99 4.0 harmonic issue

I have a 99 Ranger with a 4.0 that I had toput a new timing cover gasket on and I'm having issues getting the harmonic to seat all the way I can get it with the bolt and up to about one-sixteenth away from being fully seated but it won't go the rest the way and I don't want to destroy the threats does anyone have any tipsput a new timing cover gasket on and I'm having issues getting harmonic to see way Iput a new timing cover gasket on and I'm having issues getting harmonic To seat I can get it 1 16th away from fully In but it won't go to rest away and I don't want to destroy the threads. Does anyone have any tips

If the key on the crankshaft has shifted it will not allow the pulley to go on completely.
You may need to remove the pulley again and double check if there is another possible cause. Sometimes an oil slinger will get jammed behind the pulley and prevent it from going on completely.
