99 Ranger No fire on rear Coil pack
I'm asking this for a friend of my dad's since he doesn't have internet access.
He has a 1999 Ford Ranger 2.5L V8, he says the rear coil pack is not firing, I never heard him running the truck, I probably should have asked him to start it, but he was driving it to the store and other places, I would think that if it wasn't firing it would be running quite sh*tty..lol
He said he swapped the front with the rear and there was still no fire on the rear side, I did notice a shoddy splice job on the wires before the connector, which was automatically prime suspect IMHO, I didn't have my multimeter to check for continuity.
Any Idea's?
Does anyone know a site that will show you an exploded view of the ignition system and part numbers?

Last time I had a coil pack problem on my son's 2002 Escape, I replaced plugs and plug wires and moved the suspected coil pack to the front where it would be easier to replace (have to pull off a lot of stuff to get to the rear plugs, including the intake air plenum. Sure enough, problem reappeared in about a week on the front cylinder where I'd relocated the coil pack from the rear.
