My a/c will not turn off when switch is turned to the off position... I just recently noticed it when i lifted the hood and saw all of the moisture on the a/c lines... I then started to search for a problem but no answers.. any one have any ideas or have had this problem??? Any Help would be great ... Thanks

 

when you turn off the a/c do you still get cold air out of the vents? also when you turn of your a/c you shoould hear a unmustakable click meaning that the a/c clutch is disengaged, by any chance do you hear that? how old is the truck?

 

well if you had it on at all, your lines are cold and all the heat from the engine makes moisture and is normal

 

In some models of Rangers, and other vehicles for that matter, the ac clutch will engage and disengage periodically if you have it set to the defrost setting.

 

whenever your defrost is on in your truck the a/c kicks in because the evapourator, which is part of the a/c system, prevents your windows from fogging up and helps them unfog if it's cold
