Clicking noise when I turn my fan on
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT and noticed today that just turning the fan on and running regular cool air not even using the A/C or Heat I hear a clicking noise right underneath my driver door. I stopped in the parking lot and got out with the fan on and it sounds like it is coming from just above my front driver side tire. When I turn the air off, no clicking noise. What could this be? 3 years ago I replaced the entire A/C lines, overhauled everything just about because I thought I could level what I thought was a 2 foot drift and I bottomed out. Long, story short, I do run the fan all the time since 2002. Please help, Jacqueline from Ohio.

You need to do a little more investigating. Have you tried to open the hood and listen for where the clicking seems to be originating. It could be a relay or possibly a circuit breaker opening and closing. How much time goes by when the clicking takes place?

When running heater or just the fan I hear clicking
As soon as I turn the fan on in the truck it starts clicking, as soon as I turn it off it instantly stops clicking. Have not looked under the hood yet, but would I look to the far right somewhere. The clicking standing outside my driver side with the fan on is right above the back of my front tire high?
