Clicking sound when engage clutch
Hi! I have a 2003 Ford Ranger, 3 liter, rear wheel drive. Took it in for the shop to look at the brakes today...they also checked out a wobbling that may be due to a slightly bent rim or tire. They determined it was in the front when they moved the bent rim/tire to the back, where they left it. It's not real serious and I plan to have it fixed soon.
When I was driving after going to the shop today, though, I heard a weird clicking sound when I engage the clutch into first, I push the pedal when I put it in gear, when i let off, at the moment the wheels get power, a clicking sound one or twice comes from under the truck, and does the same thing when it goes into second. I can easily hear the sound in the cab. If the window is down and i'm listening i can hear sort of a whirring or spinning sound briefly when it engages into third. What is this sound? Is it something I should have checked out? It shifts and drives fine. I baby my truck and so get alarmed when I hear anything unusual!
Thanks...
