clutch hose and slave cylinder question
I just done a clutch job a little while ago, with a new slave cylinder. The kit came with a slit oring so I used the old one. I think it is leaking now, so I wanted to ask if these systems are self sealing when I remove the hose to change it. It says it on my paper work for the slave cylinder it self seals, but I wanted to make sure? I don't have to bleed the master cylinder again that was a pain.

According to the laws of physics etc., bla,, bla any air in the line is supposed to rise to the top and in this case the master cylinder. But, the quickest and best way is to just bleed the slave cyl once or twice and push any air trapped in the line out. Just make sure you keep the clutch master cylinder filled . Its that easy and usually works every time.
All this is providing there is a bleed fitting on the slave cyl. You didn't state what year the vehicle was and newer ones don't have the bleeder ftg.

It is a 94 ranger 4 cylinder. I just have to change the oring in the hose where it connects to the slave cylinder. I just wanted to know if I disconnect the line will I have to bleed the master cylinder again, or will it be fine to just connect back in and drive?
