Default 01 Taurus with front end shimmy?

My taurus has almost 46,000 and for the last 15,000 or so its had this front end shimmy. I've had the front end aligned and tires balanced. I also had one of the wheel bearings replaced. It seems as though you can feel the vibration in the drivers seat more so than when in the passengers seat. It vibrates the worst when going over a little hill and the front end comes up and back down. Any kind of dip in the road it shimmies. It does fine on a smooth surface. I had one shop tell me it was the torque convertor, but another transmission shop said it was fine. Anything I'm overlooking or has anyone else experienced this?

THanks.

Usually when you feel a shimmy in the seat, it's coming from the rear end....likely tire balance or even alignment. If there is an issue in the front, you're more then likely to feel it in the steering wheel.
