96 stock 4 cyl Ford Probe possible fuel issues? help
So I was going to work the other morning, and my car just shut off while making a turn. Once I towed it home, and was messing with a bunch of stuff. I realized I had a blown fuel pump fuse, I replaced it and now it runs, but its very inconsistent. I start it and it sounds fine for about 7 seconds, then it bogs down (about 4-500 rpm) and sounds like its gonna die for about 5 seconds, then sounds fine for another 3-10 seconds. it always varies, never the same amount of time in between...
I've tried to drive it around and it drives the same, even when i give it more throttle... my F/P fuse hasn't blown since and its probaly ran for a total of about 15-20 minutes. i hear my fuel pump turn on when i go to start it, my fuel filter doesn't seem clogged either. i then thought it might be the fuel regulator, but pinching the line doesn't help... i have a low amount of gas in the tank, so i thought maybe if i got some fuel cleaner and put a little more gas in would help, but i dunno.
Im totally lost, any help?
thanks
