2006 Ford Escape - No Start after key programming
Purchased a 2006 Escape at the salvage auction and unit has no keys. Had a key cut at the dealer and I used a T300 key programmer to program it.
Escape will now turn over but will not start. Theft light flashes all the time and when you put the key in it flashes a few more times then goes out. From what I understand that the PATS system in the Escape can be difficult?
To complicate issues I found an aftermarket car starter under the dash. Turned it off but it didn't change anything.
Should I try reprogramming the key?
Any ideas ??
Thanks!
Jeff

yea you can try reprogramming the key again, make sure the right codes are being input to them. as far as the remote start that can complicate things. double make sure that it's unplugged without power and has no connection to the ignition anymore. a faulty remote start or aftermarket alarm can trigger these problems.good luck
